Russian Cottage In Summertime by Jayaram Parappil

Features

ARTIST NOTES: This fresh little painting depicts the ancestral home of Ksenya, a fellow artist on an online forum (I painted this with a photo reference). Apart from its apparent rustic beauty (especially when basked in glorious summer sun as seen here), this house has a special place in Ksenya's memories. According to her, this house is a living history, built by her great grandfather who went through the great patriotic war of 1941-45 and has seen a few generations grow up within its walls. Painted on Canson Montval 300 gsm cold pressed paper.
