ARTIST BIO

The creative process

\r\n

Setting up a home based studio has allowed artistic partners Debbie and Lana the time and space they need to create. Working  collaboratively allows their creations to be more detailed and technical than other wise possible. Finding inspiration in nature and their surroundings, they found the high gloss clarity and serendipity element of resin lent itself perfectly to their subject matter. Sharing a common vision and aesthetic ideal, they have garnered much attention and praise. The pieces they create are both calming and in a curious  contradiction, exciting.

Debbie Langer

Growing up in the foot of the snowy mountains, Debbie was  surrounded by the wonders of nature. As an integral part of her psyche, it naturally became her inspiration and the area she decided to explore when she initially enrolled in painting classes. It was a way for her to bring the beauty of nature, her upbringing and the country into her urban home. Initially Debbie worked in acrylic and mixed mediums. But it wasn\'t until she was introduced to working with resin that she decided this would become more than a passion. With a flow and movement of its own, Debbie instantly recognized that resin added an extra element to her nature- inspired paintings.

Lana Zuker

\r\n

The granddaughter of a highly renowned art collector and dealer, Lana grew up immersed in the Melbourne art scene. Her passion for art began with formal art classes at the age of six. She was always drawn to anything that had a creative angle, from creating art props, making costumes, to becoming a makeup artist. Lana\'s natural talent with color and design along with her insight into the importance of light and space influenced her to start up painting classes once more. After working with oils and acrylics, Lana discovered a whole new world when exposed to the infinite possibilities of resin.Â
