ARTIST BIO

Shirley Ploog is a western suburbs based visual artist.

She has had a number of successful group exhibitions, her most recent with Hobson\'s Bay Art Society \"Through the Artist Eyes\" and \"5x7\".

This year Shirley also has been selected to have her first solo exhibition at Red Gallery Contemporary Art space From July 1st - 18th called Resilience. Shirley has also been awarded an art residency with Galerie Huit in France for 3 months in 2016.

Shirley is passionate about nature, the environment and the impact us humans have on our beautiful country. Her process involves drawing from life, en plein air studies and photographic references using oils and graphite as her preferred mediums.
